As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our services and products. You will function as the strategic business leader, overseeing the departments of Event Planning, Banquets/Catering, Event Service and Event Technology. You will also develop and implement property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of our target customer and employees. You will have overall responsibility for executing all property events with a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales. You will ensure the team meets the brandโs target customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, focuses on growing event revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the department.
**Responsibilities: **
– Identify and delegate responsibilities to shift leaders and staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved
– Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of the restaurant and event space
– Implement new company policies and procedures by developing plans and instructing staff
– Provide direction to shift leaders, and staff to achieve projected goals
– Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
– Provide coaching and feedback to managers and staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis
– Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations
– Manage the restaurant/event space and roof top bar to meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness
-Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and generate business
-Manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including google and all social media platforms
-Create engaging content for online platforms, including website and social media channels
-Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth
-Collaborate with cross-functioning teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning
– Provide oversight to ensure all events effectively maximize sales potential and deliver 100% customer satisfaction
– Assist in managing sales and support programs to ensure achievement of annual sales objectives
– Consistently monitor product and labor costs to remain within goals
– Solicit guest feedback to understand the needs and wants of customers
– Train and coach staff on guest services principles and practices
– Follow the restaurant policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security
– Monitor and maintain the POS system
– Assist in new menu implementation
– Develop and implement creative solutions to areas of improvement
– Assist in conducting staff and daily pre-shift meetings
– Assist in any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints require
– Identify employee weaknesses and retrain as necessary
**Qualifications: **
– College degree preferred
– 2-3 years of recent operations management and restaurant experience preferred but will train the right person
– Able to learn and use POS system
– Able to lift minimum of 10-25 lbs. Complete training in all areas of restaurant
– Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities
– Able to work in a fast-paced environment
– Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
– ServSafe certification preferred
